Antun Banovac born in Mrčevo – Dubrovnik on 2 February 1962.

After finishing primary school, I enrolled in the Maritime High School in Dubrovnik. After finishing the Maritime High School, I went to the cadet school and sailed for a year on the ships of the Atlantic Shipping Company. Upon returning from the cadet school, I took the lieutenant exam and went to the JNA. Upon returning from the JNA, I enrolled in the Higher Maritime School in Dubrovnik.

I worked briefly in tourism and studied. I graduated from the VPŠ in Dubrovnik in 1993.

I joined the Homeland War, and in 1995 I went to the ship, in 1998 I acquired the title of long-range captain.

Since then, I have been constantly sailing on foreign companies as an officer, and in 2005 I was promoted to commander.

In 2010 I am disembarking from the ship and applying for the position of Director of the Port Authority of Dubrovnik-Neretva County.

Since 2010, I have been the Director of the Port Authority of Dubrovnik-Neretva County.
