Dr. Juraj Bukša is an expert in nautical tourism and the maritime industry, with extensive experience in strategic management, infrastructure development, and business process optimization. He graduated from the Faculty of Maritime Studies at the University of Rijeka, where he also earned his PhD.

As the Director of the Nautical Department at ACI d.d., he is responsible for developing sales strategies, planning business revenues and expenditures, overseeing investments, and managing marina operations. He coordinates the work of regional directors and marinas, ensuring the implementation of standardized operational procedures. His focus is on improving services, optimizing business processes, and enhancing ACI’s competitiveness in both domestic and international markets.

He is also actively engaged in academia as an external associate at the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Rijeka and is the author of over 30 scientific and professional papers, including the university textbook Economics of Shipping. His research covers digitalization in the maritime sector, sustainable development in nautical tourism, and the application of advanced technologies in maritime operations.
